Mom's New Crochet Thingie for Nellie Belle

Mom found a pattern for a doggie shrug to crochet for Nellie Belle. She worked hard to make it and had to try it on Nellie B. several times so that it would fit just right. Nellie got a bit disgruntled at all this modeling stuff and went to bed with her daddy. Usually Nellie Belle has to be the last one in bed at night so Mom knew that Nellie was a tad bit disgruntled. The next morning, Mom put the completed shrug on Nellie Belle and before she could find her camera, Nellie took the shrug off and "lost" it somewhere in the house! Opi is an easy-going guy so he said "Hey Mom, when you find it, I'll try it on so you can take a picture of it. I don't care that it's a girlie thing." So here's the picture of Opi wearing it:

Later on, Mom did "catch" Nellie Belle and put the shrug on her so she could look pretty when Daddy came home from work. Here's Nellie Belle finally wearing the new shrug Mom made:

You can probably tell by the look on Nellie's face that she's not too happy with having clothing on. That's ok because as soon as Daddy saw her, he took it off and Nellie was happy again.

Opi's a Model!

Mom needed a model for the hat she made our brother Matthew 'cause he was at work and couldn't do it. Opi had to be the one because it's a boy-hat and Opi's a boy sort of. Here he is:

Getting Cold Outside...Mom "Hooked Us Up"

Mom was getting concerned because it's getting cold outside and she wants us to be warm. Earlier this week, she picked up her crochet hook and some yarn and made us sweaters. They're cute and warm. We didn't have the heart to remind Mom that Chihuahuas shake and that helps to warm us up! We also shake when we're frightened but that doesn't happen too often here 'cause our parents love us and protect us from all the evils in the world! Anyway, here's pictures of us in our new sweaters--Opi in gray and Nellie Belle in pink. Puppy kisses...

What's New With Opi, Nellie Belle and Sister Barney

Opi and Nellie Belle have a new crocheted mat for their naps on the cold floor.  Their mommy made it for them.  Here's some pictures of them using it:

Our sister Barney has had a lump on her bottom for several years.  The vet has said that we shouldn't worry about it.  He didn't want to take it off because Barney might have problems from the general anesthesia she'd have to have if it was removed.  No problems for years until mommy came home from work a couple weeks ago and found blood all over the house.  Barney had chewed on it.  Mommy loaded Barney into the car and rushed off to the vet.  Barney had to wear one of those things mommy calls a funnel collar and take antibiotics.  Barney is ok now and we're happy.  We all teased her and called her "Funnel Head" but we are really happy she is ok now.

Opi claimed the new afghan I made. I made a round ripple afghan that you can see more pictures of on my other blog. Opi knows he's special and thinks that whenever his mommy crochets an afghan it is for him to burrow under. Gee, what a character! Hugs and puppy dog kisses...
